Allison Parkey began her career by diving into graphic design from within the Marketing Department of a healthcare company, and now has extensive knowledge and more than thirteen years of experience in a variety of industries. She expanded the creative role in Marketing Departments of healthcare, staffing, and technology corporations, then began accepting freelance jobs, and her ability to adapt to all industries led her to become a recognized independent graphic designer long before she opened her own company in the fall of 2008. Allison is known for really listening to what her clients need, and going above and beyond to provide the ideal solution. Her drive and experience allow her to be a one-stop shop for clients who need help in the complete process of marketing their companies and product lines via print and the Web, from concept to design to implementation.
At Allison Parkey Design, you will find that we are passionately committed to exceptional ideas, unique design, and compelling results. Not only do we get the job done, but we get excited about it. It’s ok if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for – just ask. That's why we are here.
Allison was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, attending Fort Worth Country Day School then Texas Christian University, where she graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising/Public Relations (emphasis in Graphic Design) and Spanish. Now she may only get to use her Spanish when she travels or eats at her favorite Mexican restaurants, but fortunately she gets to utilize her graphic design skills every day.
Allison's lifelong passion for the arts and design started at the age of three when she signed up for ballet, jazz, and tap. By the end of college, she was teaching 14 classes a week and competing in national dance competitions. Creativity has always been a part of her life. She found herself enjoying painting and drawing classes in school, but applying those skills to the Adobe Creative Suite on the computer is what she was truly meant to do. In her free time, Allison enjoys spending quality time with her wonderful husband, Ben, and baby, Stella. They also have two dogs: an Australian Shepherd named Chopper, and a teacup Pomeranian named Captain. Allison also enjoys spending time with her girl friends, and volunteering in the community through being an active member of the Junior League of Dallas.
